Palm Springs Triathlon Long Distance and Heat Training Camp

Friday, October 15 through Sunday, October 17, 2010
Travel to Palm Springs on Thursday, October 14th

OverviewPalm Springs

Team Sheeper is pleased to announce a new camp designed to prepare athletes for distance events in the second half of our 2010 season. The Palm Springs camp will prepare you mentally and physically for the challenges of exercising and competing in a desert environment. The camp is an integral part of the Ironman 70.3 Miami or Ironman Arizona training program outlined in July; The Palm Springs camp is week #16 of the overall programs.

We believe there is no better way to build and tune your triathlon skills, race performance and confidence than to set aside the time to attend a camp with your team and coaches. The benefits from our camps come from the completion of the elevated training volume and the absence of other responsibilities. Palm Springs, where we will stay for 3 days and 2 nights, features arid desert surrounded by high mountains and canyons. This camp will include all three sport disciplines each day for a total of 16-22 hours of high-quality team training. Please join us for this long distance and heat training camp.

SupportBiking

Sig Paulozzo, our experienced support driver and all-around helpful tour wrangler will provide sag support. We place a great emphasis on safety and will do our very best to see that each athlete completes each segment of the camp safely. Since the support vehicle and our coaches need to cover athletes with different paces, always make sure that you have a route map and know the designation and plan for each sport. We'll make sure that you have supplemental nutrition and fluids and that your gear is in the right place, as always we depend on you knowing and being prepared for the camp plan.
