I failed to mention yesterday that a portion of Madonna road is DIRT!  Be prepared.  If you are not ready to GRIND, you can always choose to stay in town and ride the Portola loop.

2.  Miles:
73 miles.  Some are flat.  Some are steep.  Some are smooth.  Some are rough and tumble.  Reminder,  it is called the "Grinder Series" for a reason.

3.  Meeting Place:
Lake Almaden Park-Same place where the San Jose International Triathlon starts Park in the lot on the opposite side of the transition area.  (By the apartments and bike path) Carpools leaving Burgess at 7:00am.  Carpool with someone your own riding speed to save any end of day challenges.

4. Starting Time:
Saturday September 27, 2008 @ 8:00am

5.  Estimated Ride Time:
5 hours depending on pace and stop length

6.  Food and Fuel stop in Corralitos:
About 40 miles into the ride.  Corralitos is famous for the local sausage factory.

7.  Sag Support:
Undetermined.  No volunteer at this point.

8.  Compared to the other Grinders: Forecast calls for mid 70's, but the climbs in the Santa Cruz Mountains can be "pitchier."

9.  Drive time to Lake Almaden Park from Burgess Pool:
26 miles or 38 minutes according to Mapquest.
